
Ingredients:
➡️For Pork Meatballs:
- 500g pork mince (5% fat)
- 10g ginger, finely grated
- 2 garlic cloves, finely grated
- 1 egg yolk • 20g panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Sea salt flakes
- Ground black pepper
➡️For Sauce:
- 1 brown onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 70g chestnut mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp red wine
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp muscovado sugar
- 1 tsp corn flour
- 50ml water
- Olive oil
- Sea salt flakes
- Ground black pepper
➡️For Garnish:
- 1 spring onion, chopped
Serve 2
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine all the pork meatball ingredients. Beat the mixture for about 5 minutes and shape it into 8 meatballs.
- Heat a frying pan with some olive oil over medium heat. Fry the meatballs until golden brown, then transfer them to a plate and set aside.
- In the same pan, fry the chopped onion and mushrooms until they become soft and fragrant. Return the meatballs to the pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, red wine, mirin, and muscovado sugar. Pour this mixture over the meatballs and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
- use the same bowl, mix corn flour with water until smooth. Pour this mixture into the pan and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Sprinkle finely chopped spring onions over the dish for garnish. Enjoy your delicious teriyaki pork meatballs!
